Playtesting Improvements

Had some playtesting done on this prototype, and got some really good feedback on some stuff that could be worked upon in order to have a more interesting prototype to show off.

Updates

  1. Added controller support. Player 2, on the right side of the screen, may use a controller to play the game
  2. Created a resource system for obstacles, and added costs to obstacles based on how strong it may be
  3. Added zones in the levels in which it is not allowed to place any obstacles
  4. Changed the dash to only move the player horizontally, and not to recharge when touching terrain
  5. Added small visual hints, in the design phase, as to how the obstacles behave during the play phase


Roadmap

  1. New tutorial system
    1. Unique page in the main menu that show the behaviour of all the movement mechanics and the obstacles, and explains the different phases in the game
    2. Enhanced and less intrusive tutorial on each phase star
  2. Fix some of the pixel aberrations and blurriness that occur with some assets
